The month of January is named after the god Janus, a god who had two faces, each one looking the other way. He symbolized beginnings and endings, and was the god of doorways, gates, and passages – essentially anything that was a beginning, a transition, or an ending. Taking from that idea, one thing we should probably consider is to look back.
Seeing as we are talking about beginnings, why don’t we think about it: when was the last time you did something for the first time? And what should you do for the first time this coming year?
